Zapmail makes it easy to export your mailboxes directly to Lemlist so you can start warm-up and outreach without manual setup.
This guide walks you through the complete process step by step.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have an active Lemlist account
Your mailboxes should be active
🆕 New: User-Level Export Support
Zapmail now supports user-level exports for Lemlist, allowing exports to be configured per individual user instead of being limited to the team level.
How It Works
API Key (Team-Level): Used to automatically fetch and resolve your Lemlist team
User Credentials (User-Level): Each export is mapped to a specific user using their email and password
This ensures better control and flexibility when managing multiple users within the same Lemlist team.
🔑 Requirements for Connection
To export mailboxes, you'll need:
Email (Lemlist login)
Password (Lemlist login)
API Key (Team-level access)
Session cookies + local storage export (recommended, to skip the Magic Link/OTP prompt — see Step 4 below)
🔍 How to Get Your Lemlist API Key
Open Lemlist
Click your profile icon (bottom-left corner) → Select Settings
Go to Integrations (API Settings)
Click Generate
Enter a name for your API key (e.g., Zapmail Integration)
Click Create Key
Copy and securely store your API key
🚀 How to Export Mailboxes to Lemlist
Step 1: Select Your Mailboxes
Go to the Mailboxes > Assigned section and check the boxes next to the mailboxes you want to export.
Step 2: Click "Export Mailboxes"
At the top of the page, click Export Mailboxes.
Step 3: Choose Lemlist
From the list of platforms, select Lemlist.
🔑 Step 4: Connect Your Lemlist Account
Click Export, then enter your Lemlist credentials:
Email – the same email you use to log into Lemlist
Password – your Lemlist login password
API Key – your Lemlist team API key
Once these are entered, choose how to complete authentication:
✅ Recommended: Add Session Cookies and Local Storage
Lemlist's magic link is only valid for 5 minutes, which can interrupt a bulk export if it expires before you finish authenticating. Adding your session cookies here skips the magic link and OTP prompt entirely, so the export runs without interruption.
Install the StorageAce extension.
Go to https://app.lemlist.com in the tab where you're already logged into Lemlist.
Open StorageAce → Cookies tab → Export as JSON, then paste it into the Cookies field in Zapmail
Required — cookies alone aren't enough for Lemlist. In StorageAce, switch to the Local Storage tab, Export as JSON, and paste it into the Local Storage field in Zapmail as well.
With both the cookies and local storage pasted in alongside your credentials, Zapmail authenticates using your existing Lemlist session — no magic link, no OTP, no 5-minute window to race against.
⚠️ This is a per-export step, not a one-time setup. Lemlist session cookies expire, so you'll need to re-export cookies and local storage from StorageAce and paste them in again every time you export mailboxes to Lemlist — not just the first time you connect.
Alternative: Enter the Magic Link and OTP When Prompted
If you skip the cookies and local storage fields, Zapmail will prompt you for a Magic Link and OTP during the export instead. Lemlist sends both to your email — enter them in Zapmail as soon as they arrive, since the link expires after 5 minutes (see Important Notes below).
Step 5: Fetch Team Users & Select Export User
If you want to export mailboxes to a specific team member:
After adding the API Key, click Fetch Team Users
Zapmail will display all available team members in a dropdown
Select the user you want to export mailboxes to
This ensures the mailboxes are mapped to the correct user within your Lemlist team.
⚠️ Make sure the API key you generate belongs to the correct team/workspace, otherwise users may not load correctly.
Step 6: Confirm Export
Once logged in, you'll see a confirmation message that your mailboxes are queued for export.
Your mailboxes will automatically appear in Lemlist as soon as they're ready.
⚠️ Important Notes Before Exporting
User-level exports: Each Lemlist user requires a separate export using their own login credentials.
API key is mandatory: The API key is required to identify and map the correct Lemlist team.
Google Sign-In users: If you signed up using "Continue with Google," create a manual password in Lemlist settings.
Single active session: Lemlist allows only one active session at a time. Avoid logging in during export to prevent interruptions.
Magic Link & OTP sessions expire in 5 minutes: If you leave the cookies and local storage fields blank, Zapmail will prompt you for a Magic Link and OTP sent to your email — these must be entered within 5 minutes or the session expires and the export is interrupted. To avoid this entirely, add session cookies and local storage in Step 4.
Session cookies must be refreshed for every export: Email, password, and API key stay the same across exports, but the cookies and local storage exported from StorageAce reflect a live Lemlist session, so they expire like any session would. Re-export and re-paste them each time you run a new export to Lemlist, even if you connected successfully before.
Mailbox slot availability: Ensure you have enough mailbox slots available in your Lemlist account before exporting.
