🔥 Method 2: API Access (Recommended)

This method is faster, more reliable, and unlocks additional capabilities like warmup control.

Steps to Set Up API Access:

  • Go to Settings in EmailBison

  • Navigate to API Developer

  • Click on Create API Token

  • Enter a name for the token and select either:

    • API User, or

    • Super Admin (for the workspace you want to export to)

  • Generate the API Key

Add Details in Zapmail:

  • Paste the API Key in Zapmail

  • Add the Google Auth Client ID

  • Add the whitelisted EmailBison App URL

Once added, the export will initiate automatically.

Step 6: Confirm Export

Once logged in, you’ll see a confirmation message that your mailboxes are queued for export.

Your mailboxes will automatically appear in EmailBison as soon as they’re ready.

🔥 New: Manage Warmup Settings Inside Zapmail

If you connect using the API Key, you can now control EmailBison warmup directly from Zapmail.

How It Works

  • Open the Export pop-up

  • Switch to the Warmup tab

  • Toggle Enable Warmup

  • Adjust all warmup settings as needed

This allows you to manage warmup behaviour for your mailboxes without switching to EmailBison.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Single active session limitation:
EmailBison allows only one active session at a time.

  • API Key behavior:
When using the API Key method, Zapmail automatically creates multiple user profiles to speed up mailbox connections and avoid bottlenecks.

  • Workspace-specific API keys:
Always generate the API key from the same workspace where you want to export mailboxes.Using a different workspace API key may result in mailboxes being exported to the wrong workspace.

  • Export timing:
Exports can take up to 24 hours (Method 1: Email & Password) and approximately 30 minutes (Method 2: API Access), depending on the number of mailboxes.
    Avoid interruptions:
Do not log into the same EmailBison workspace during Method 1 (Email & Password) export, as it may cause failures or interruptions.
