Domain forwarding redirects anyone who visits your outreach domain (for example, yourdomain.com) to another URL, such as your main website or a landing page, so visitors don’t land on an empty page.
💡 Before you start: Spam filters look at what a sending domain hosts, and a redirect can mark it as a shell domain. For better deliverability, Zapmail recommends a ZapSite instead: a real AI-written landing page for your company, hosted on the domain itself. See Step 5 below.

Set Up Domain Forwarding
Step 1: Open the Domains Section
From the left sidebar, click Domains. Your full domain list opens on the Domains tab.
Step 2: Open the Domain Sidebar
Click the domain you want to set up forwarding for.
The domain sidebar opens on the Overview tab.
Scroll to the Domain Forwarding card.
Step 3: Choose Between a ZapSite or a Redirect
Before you set up forwarding, Zapmail recommends giving the domain a real page instead of a redirect. You’ll see three options:
Create my ZapSite: Builds an AI-written landing page for your company on this domain. It’s ready in about 2 minutes, and you can switch back to forwarding anytime.

Continue with redirect: Closes the pop-up so you can set up domain forwarding.
Why choose a ZapSite?
Your brand, whatever the domain: Prospects who click your email see the company that wrote to them, with buttons through to your real website.
Every click works for you: A contact form sends leads into Zapmail with email and Slack alerts, and visitor tracking shows which companies looked.
Only your prospects see it: Search-engine indexing is off by default, so the page exists only for the people you email.

Step 3: Enter the Destination URL
In the Domain Forwarding field, enter the URL where visitors should be redirected. The
https://prefix is already added, so you only need to type the rest.
Example:
yourwebsite.com
This can be your main website, a landing page, or any external URL.
Step 4: Save Changes
Click the ✓ button to save, or ✕ to cancel.
🔒 CAPTCHA Protection
CAPTCHA is automatically enabled on all domains with forwarding. Before visitors are redirected to your destination URL, they see a CAPTCHA check. This verifies real users and blocks bots.
CAPTCHA is turned on by default and can’t be switched off from the dashboard.

⏳ Note: Domain forwarding may take a few minutes, and in some cases a few hours, to become fully active.
After Setup
Once domain forwarding is active:
Visitors to your domain complete a quick CAPTCHA check and are then redirected to your destination URL.
Users won’t see blank or inactive pages.
You can update or remove domain forwarding anytime from the Overview tab in the domain sidebar.
