How to Move Domains Between Workspaces or Providers in Zapmail

Zapmail lets you move domains between workspaces and between service providers (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365) to keep your setup flexible and organized. This is useful when restructuring accounts, migrating clients, or switching providers.

Domains can be moved directly from the Domains tab—as long as no active mailboxes are linked to them.


Before You Begin

⚠️ Important Requirements

  • The domain must not have any active mailboxes

  • Domains with active mailboxes cannot be moved

  • Delete all mailboxes linked to the domain before proceedin


Step 1: Open Domains

  • Log in to your Zapmail dashboard

  • Go to the Domains tab


Step 2: Select the Domain(s)

  • Use the checkbox to select one or more domains


Step 3: Start the Move

  • Click Domain Actions

  • Select Move Domains


Step 4: Choose Destination

  • Select the target workspace

  • Choose the service provider:

    • Google Workspace, or

    • Microsoft 365


Step 5: Confirm the Move

  • Review the details

  • Click Confirm

The domain will be moved instantly to the selected workspace and provider.


Common Questions

Why can’t I move a domain?
If a domain has active mailboxes, Zapmail blocks the move to avoid configuration issues. Delete the mailboxes first, then try again.
